I’m an Auditory leaner

As mainly an auditory learner, I typically grasp concepts by remembering what is said. Don’t get me wrong, I still am able to learn by doing and watching; however, by listening to audiobooks, voice recordings, and music, I am able to gather information and understand a topic more easily. When I am focussed on listening to peoples’ stories or lessons, I find myself able to quickly recall details.

What type of communicator are you?

Director

I am seen as a director

This means that I am guided by two things: the need to get things done and the need to control. Usually in settings where I am able to manage the work of others and take control of situations is when I am the most comfortable. I look for the most fundamental results as well as completing the work successfully. I would like to describe my work ethic as fast-paced and goal-oriented, since I like to get things done quickly and efficiently while providing quality work. Having a fireball mindset makes me instinctive leaders, while at the same time, I may come across as impatient or insensitive. According to the SummerSpringboard quiz on communication, I scored a 60, meaning that I am an excellent communicator. This means that I have the skills to gather and present information to others in a way that my audience would comprehend.

What are your different intelligences?

The Composer

I am “The Composer”. My energy is slightly more introverted, my information gathering leans toward sensing, my decision making is directly in the middle of thinking and feeling (highlighted feeling), and my lifestyle and structure is just barely on the perceiving side. Most of the time, I agree with these results, however, in certain situations I would feel otherwise. I mainly enjoy having a small group of people around when I’m not alone, I find myself pondering my thoughts quite often, however, if I am with people I am comfortable with I will be loud and outgoing. I disagree with the fact that the quiz had called my information gathering influenced by what I sense. I would call myself a sensing and intuitive person because I pay attention to detail, connect information in my head, I can explain my thoughts clearly when it matters, I catch on to patterns and big ideas, and I am an abstract thinker. I rely on both my feelings and my thinking too. It will vary with each situation I am in. Lastly, I would find myself more on the perceiving side rather than the judging side. Although I do like knowing what comes next, I am not the one to make smooth plans. I go with the flow and for the most part I am open to new information, new opportunities, and new challenges.
